Chris Silverthorn, MBA
President/CEO
Chris founded Provida Financial and has led it for over 10 years. He oversees origination, underwriting and operations.
He previously worked in commercial lending at the Bank of Montreal and was Vice President, Investor Relations at Canadian Coyote Energy Trust. Chris holds an MBA from the University of Calgary's Haskayne School of Business.
Salim Jamal, CFA, CAIA
Chief Operating Officer
Salim oversees corporate administration, deal due diligence and operations.
He previously held senior roles at a Calgary financial advisory firm, a private oil and gas company and an energy equity research firm. Salim holds a Bachelor of Commerce in Finance from the University of Calgary and is a CFA and CAIA charterholder.
Stuart McPhail, MBA
Vice President Sales
Stuart grows Provida's client base through its relationships with banking professionals, business advisors and accountants.
He previously led sales and marketing for a private capital group and worked in oil and gas with GE, Rockwell and Invensys. Stuart holds an MBA and a BSc in Electrical Engineering from the University of Calgary.
Mathias Stoecker, CFP
Vice President Business Development and Credit
Based in Vancouver, Mathias leads Provida's growth in the Lower Mainland and works on credit structuring.
He was previously District Manager in Vancouver at Roynat Capital and began his lending career at Canadian Western Bank. Mathias holds a Bachelor of Business Administration and is a Certified Financial Planner.
Raheem Lallani, BBA
Controller
Raheem manages Provida's accounting and financial reporting, and analyzes the financial data behind the business.
He has over 20 years of accounting experience with small and medium-sized businesses in oil and gas, real estate, retail and agriculture. Raheem holds a Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting from Mount Royal University.
Alejandro Soto Cordovez, BComm
Senior Credit Administrator
Alejandro handles loan administration, credit monitoring and day-to-day credit operations.
He works closely with Provida's team and clients across many industries to keep their facilities running smoothly. Alejandro holds a Bachelor of Commerce in Finance from the University of Calgary's Haskayne School of Business.
